Charlotte’s Brixton Hill Flat
Charlotte’s own wonky, wonderful 945 sq ft flat: vintage, Moroccan and mid-century, with a whisk of modern Scandi.

The story
Charlotte and her partner Alex bought this odd, wonky and totally wonderful one-bedroom flat in Brixton Hill in 2018. At 945 sq ft (87 m²) over different levels, it doesn’t fit the mould of the Victorian conversions around it.
Almost everything was sourced from vintage fairs, travels and car boot sales. The kitchen shelves are reclaimed scaffolding boards stained and oiled by hand: £25 for all three instead of £90 each. A green chest of drawers was painted yellow for the monochrome hallway, and 59 plants live in vintage terracotta pots, some from the 1920s.
