Balham Beauty
A three-storey Victorian house in Balham and the last big London project before the move to Spain: bold aubergine, navy velvet, a wine wall and a professional shoot to finish.

The story
This wasn’t just another project, it was a full-blown production. From the first design meeting to the final styling tweaks before the photoshoot, this house saw it all: builders, joiners, tilers, electricians, decorators, delivery drivers and Charlotte’s trusted trades.
The palette leans rich and grown-up: an aubergine fireplace wall with a wood-burning stove, a navy sitting room with boucle and velvet, a kitchen island lined with olive velvet stools in front of a floor-to-ceiling wine wall, and calm, layered bedrooms upstairs.
Stylist Nivert Tamraz sourced unique pieces from flea markets and Alfies Antique Market, photographer Felipe Feca shot the finished house, and art came from a collaboration with Art by Lelli.

Your clarity and decisiveness made the process seamless and inspiring.
Thank you, Charlotte, for entrusting me to collaborate with you on the stunning three-storey Victorian house in Balham. It was such a rewarding experience, and I truly enjoyed understanding your vision and how you wanted to highlight the home’s character through thoughtful design. From the outset, it was clear that you had a strong creative direction, and I appreciated your clarity and decisiveness — it made the process seamless and inspiring. I was especially thrilled to source unique pieces from flea markets and Alfies Antique Market, knowing how much joy these details brought to you and the space. Your ability to curate with such an astute eye, while remaining open to new styling perspectives, made working together an absolute pleasure.
