Three Dream Bedrooms
A Christmas surprise: three children’s rooms with bespoke raised beds, secret reading nooks and a hidden door connecting two of them.
The story
After seeing Charlotte’s work at a friend’s house, Julie and Charlie asked her to surprise their three children with newly designed rooms.
Joseph’s room mixes light blue, yellow, beige and terracotta with Decwood mouldings and a reading nook combined with storage and a desk. Sophie and Evie share a hidden door, so we designed bespoke raised beds with storage, bookshelves, secret nooks and pull-out desks, plus a pathway to use the door as a shortcut. Sophie’s room is colour-drenched in peach and blue; Evie’s in shrimp pink and terracotta.

The rooms look and feel better than I could ever have imagined.
Having seen the amazing job Charlotte did in a friend’s house, I just knew she was the right person to design my children’s new rooms. Her design instinct, appreciation of colour and knack of pulling everything together for an ‘effortlessly’ cohesive look is just wonderful. She is responsive, punctual and truly unflappable. As well as her creative skills she managed builders, plumbers, decorators, carpenters and electricians with skill and was super flexible around our family schedule. The rooms look and feel better than I could ever have imagined. Thank you Charlotte!
