Trussle Lab Office

From a tired 1990s floor to a 5,700 sq ft open office planned for 130 people, with pallet step-seating built for a fraction of a £30,000 quote.

The story

Trussle Lab, a fintech offering free mortgage advice, grew from 30 to 90 people in a year and moved from a 2,500 sq ft (232 m²) office to a 5,700 sq ft (529 m²) floor that needed to hold 130 people. Charlotte has managed their growth and office moves since 2017.

Almost every wall came down to join two separate offices into one open space. The floor plan fits 120 desks, a quiet room styled as a rainforest, four meeting rooms, three kitchens, a dining area, breakout space, a recap area seating 40 and a bar. Instead of a £30,000 quote for step seating, 85 euro pallets were sanded, painted and built into tiered seating.
